Star of the Week:Nicki Minaj

In this post, I'm going to show you how to copy this look with some Nicki Minaj-inspired make up and hair products.

Star of the Week:Nicki Minaj

Winner of a clutch of awards, Nicki Minaj is the hottest female rapper of the moment. This week, I will be telling you all about this amazingly talented superstar and how to recreate her look.


She calls her followers Harajuku Barbies and has her own language, so what is Ms Minaj's back story?She was born as Onika Tanya Maraj in Trinidad and Tobago and when she was 5 she moved to New York. After releasing 3 mixtapes between 2007 and 2009, she was signed to Young Money Entertainment in August 2009.She released her début album, Pink Friday, in November 2010 and it peaked at Number 1 on the billboard top 200 and has since been certified  platinum. She released her second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in April 2012.

10 ways to jazz up a ponytail

  1. Add a headband!
  2. Pull it up higher or lower.
  3. Take a piece of hair from the bottom of the ponytail and wrap it around the ponytail and secure it with a grip.
  4. Loop your ponytail to make a bun
  5. Look at some tutorials on YouTube! (See previous post)
  6. Add some hair clips.
  7. Loop it around a doughnut ring (not the edible kind).
  8. If you have layers, pull them down so you have them around your face.
  9. Take a ribbon and wrap it around your ponytail or head.
  10. Curl, crimp, tease or straighten your ponytail.
